Medipak was established in 1982 by Dr Khalid J. Chowdhry & family with the founding philosophy of giving the best to life. We are proud to have made a small contribution to creating self-reliance within infusion therapy in Pakistan by pioneering the local manufacturing of quality and cost-effective products that have now been time-tested for decades.

Medipak was the first integrated Infusion Solution and IV Administration Set manufacturing facility in Pakistan established with technical collaboration & know-how transfer from Fresenius AG, Germany. Over the years, through numerous expansions and foreign alliances, Medipak has evolved into one of the top national pharmaceutical companies. Decades-long collaborations have existed with leading multinationals such as Fresenius Kabi (Germany), Novartis (Switzerland), Laboratorio Pablo Cassara (Argentina), Mologic (UK), and other foreign partners.

The company has transitioned and is led by 2nd generation family members. We operate two cGMP-compliant production facilities located in well-developed industrial estates within Lahore, Pakistan. Our headquarters and original facility in Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate (Kot Lakhpat) is established on 3+ acres of land with a constructed area of approx. 200,000 sq ft. Our latest facility in the newly developed Sundar Industrial Estate is built on 2 acres of land with a constructed area of approx. 100,000 sq ft. To facilitate more efficient logistical operations, Medipak has a comprehensive centralized modern logistic system comprising of approx. 100,000 sq. ft. warehousing space.

We manufacture a full range of basic and specialized large volume parenteral (LVPs), dialysis and irrigation solutions, IV administration sets & medical devices, small volume parenteral (SVPs) & injectables, and ophthalmic preparations and pharma solid dosage forms. We also import, distribute & market a range of products from our international partner companies. Medipak currently has a portfolio of 200+ products registered with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP). Medipak Ltd being leader in IV infusion manufacturing, envision an emerging presence in Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) & In Vivo Diagnosis Rapid Test Kit (IVD RTK) SVP in LDPE & Glass Ampoule.

Our dedicated team of professional managers and skilled staff, many of whom have been associated with the company for decades, undergo regular training assessments and training programs so that they remain updated in an ever-changing world. Product quality is constantly monitored throughout the manufacturing process by our ISO 17025 certified laboratories and the company was amongst the earliest national pharmaceutical companies to achieve ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certified quality systems, occupational health & safety and environmental management systems. Business management operations at the company are streamlined through SAP ERP solutions.

Nationwide marketing and distribution are carried out through a network of 200+ distributors and a team of over 150+ sales professionals. Medipak also exports to several markets in the Central Asian States, Middle East, and Africa & Asia and has received numerous accolades for export performance over the years, including being awarded export trophies by the apex Federation of Pakistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Expansion of group operations into allied healthcare lead to the establishment in 1987 of Uniplan Trade International, a group company which is engaged in the marketing and distribution of electro-medical equipment and medical devices from internationally renowned companies like Fresenius Kabi (Germany), Allmed Medical (Germany), Lumenis (Germany), Perfect Medical Industry (Taiwan), Smith & Nephew (USA), and medical grade plastic polymers from LG Chem (Korea) and Teknor Apex (Singapore). Uniplan has been recognized among the fastest-growing companies in Arabia by the AllWorld Network.

In line with our corporate vision from the very outset to ensure the welfare of the people & communities we operate in, Medipak was the first national pharmaceutical company in Pakistan to obtain the Gender Friendly Organization (GFO) Certification, an initiative undertaken with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to promote gender diversity at the workplace. Over the years, the sponsors have also made an impact through Medipak Foundation, Dr Khalid & Khalida Chowdhry Foundation, MD Chowdhry Foundation and Medivision Healthcare Centre.
